How Often Can Child Support Be Modified?

Child support can be modified every two years based on a change of the parties’ incomes.

Child support can also be modified when a child changes age categories (turns 12 years old), even if the last order was entered less than two years ago. There are other circumstances under which child support can be modified and the timeframe for those modifications varies.
