Is It Necessary To File A Motion For Reconsideration Before A Trial Court Decision Can Be Appealed?

The short answer is probably not. There is no general rule in Washington saying you have to file a motion for reconsideration before filing an appeal. However, the answer to this question is going to depend on so many factors unique to your case that no attorney will be able to give you a definite answer in this forum. Speaking to the lawyer who represented you at trial is the best place to start.
